Sump pumps operate using your home’s electricity, but there is always a chance that the same storms that have the potential to flood your basement can also knock your power out. Your sump pump can be out of commission when you need it most!

Sump pumps fail for a variety of reasons besides power failure. It’s possible for a circuit to trip, especially for pumps plugged into GFI outlets. A sump pump contains moving parts that can malfunction or wear out over the years.
